First post and hello to all. I have a Remington Model 600 in.222 caliber and am curious to the possible value. On the right side are markings which look like a 'G' in kind of a triangle and what appears to be 'REP' inside an oval. The stock is in excellent conditon and the bluing is 96-97%. It has a 3-9x WesternField scope on it. I do have the orginal rear sight also. I believe it was made around 1965 if I'm not mistaken. Thanks to all for you help. Have had a couple of 308s, a 350RM (great guide backup gun). Also, a 6mm M600 Mohawk (no rib). Great carry and handling guns. Neither the 308 or 350mag was much fun to shoot a lot! And, the 18 1/2' bbl made me load down some. Never had a 222. Real football 2013 for nokia 110th. Should be fun. The markings are Remington builder and proof marks. Remington y-of-manuf can be determined by letter code on the bbl. M600 were made '64-'68. Mohawk version '65-'68. Followed by the 660 with a 20' bbl. Book sez the 3 indicates 'service section repair' so may have had work by Remington. In your condition around $500 per book. I know of one on consignment in local shop at $550. See quite a few 308s but few of other calibres, especially 222 and 350RM Enjoy! PS: My guess looking at the scope is that it was made by Redfield! • The Firearms Forum is on online community for all gun enthusiasts. Unicode font download.
